On 23rd April we celebrated World Intellectual Property Day 2009.
In Auckland, Attorney General Hon Chris Finlayson and Peter Maire DCNZM presented their business and political perspectives on IP to clients and industry peers.
In Wellington, Rod Oram, John Leighton of Mitsubishi Motors NZ and Nigel Kirkpatrick of Grow Wellington shared their insights, experiences and visions on green innovation (the theme for this year's occasion). Topics ranged from out-of-the-box thinking on how we might apprehend "systemic failures of seismic proportions" facing the world, to the marvels of Mitsubishi's leadership in the development of pure electric cars, and how Wellington's knowledge hub is poised to leverage opportunities in the clean energy space. Healthy debate followed with guests and panellists engaging in a Q&A forum.
Clips of interviews with the speakers can be viewed on IN-Business TV.
